Helen Hurd is a London-based performer with over 6 years professional acting experience in stage, screen, presenting and voiceover. She trained at the Mountview Academy, gaining an MA in Performance, having previously achieved a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham. As well as being a professional actor, Helen regularly performs with a band, singing at top London music venues. The retro 60's indie-pop, is a stark contrast to her Musical Theatre vocal persona and illustrates clear versatility in genre and performance style.

Theatre credits include: Princess Aurora, Sleeping Beauty; Rapunzel, Rapunzel (both Chipping Norton Theatre); The Rocky Horror Show (UK tour); Broadway in the Shadows (Grand Theatre, Luxembourg and London's Arcola Theatre); City Girls (New Wolsey Studio Theatre) Kate in Lippa's version of The Wild Party (Riverside Studios). Her TV and film credits include: Just Jack music video The Day I Died (Knucklehead Productions), Cheryl in Julia's Banjo (Pulse Records and Productions); My Way (Channel 4, directed by Paul Berczeller); Vera Drake (Thin Man Films) and The Pinocchio Effect, (New Line Cinema). Presenting experience includes Tesco TV and Virgin Atlantic (experienced in autocue). Recordings include the Sounds of Music CD series, designed as part of the National Curriculum music course.

Helen was assistant director and choreographer for The Fantasticks, part of the Oakham Festival 2007. She is an experienced workshop leader and regularly teaches singing and drama to children at infant and senior level.
